I am so excited to share with you the April KIDS Scripture Writing Plan . . . . NEW LIFE!
The INSCRIBE THE WORD Scripture Writing plan has been such a wonderful way for my son and I to study God’s Word together. Scripture Writing is the simple study of hand copying Scripture word for word into a notebook or journal. You can read more about the study method here.
This month, is Easter Month! While many families do the eggs and Easter Bunny thing, we don't. We keep Easter centered on the death and resurrection of Jesus. But this month, I am doing something different with my son. I am making parallels with Christ's death, and the death of our old man, the Adamic nature.
I am want to teach him about the New Life he has in Jesus Christ!
Ephesians 2:4-7 says, "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus."
Our children need to understand that His death was our death. (1 Peter 2:24). When we accept the Lord into our hearts, he takes that old heart of sin, and replaces it with His heart. He gives us His NEW LIFE!
I want my son to understand that Christ's death and resurrection weren't just events in history, but a miracle that changed our lives by giving us new birth and new life.
This month our children, along with our adult INSCRIBE THE WORD plan, will be studying the NEW LIFE they have in Jesus Christ. It is that New Life that causes us to have hope, faith, peace, and love. It is that NEW LIFE that allows us the joy of being called a son and daughter of God.
Join us this month as we dig into the Word and discover our NEW LIFE in Christ! It is your Easter! It is time to rise up and embrace the NEW LIFE Christ as given you!
* Note . . . this month, day 23 and 24 are different in the Adult ITW plan of April. I felt that the verses on the day 23 and 24 were a little too adult-themed for children ages 4-10. Those two days are the only ones that are different. *
